Bayern Munich Set to Make Fresh Bid for Harry Kane, Tottenham Holding Out for Record Fee

Reports indicate that Bayern Munich is gearing up to make another attempt to entice Tottenham striker Harry Kane to join their ranks in Bavaria. Despite having their previous bids of £70 million ($90.2m) and £80 million ($103.3m) rejected by Tottenham, the German club is determined to increase their offer for the talented striker. The Guardian suggests that Bayern’s CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, and technical director, Marco Neppe, plan to discuss the potential transfer with Kane during their visit to London next week. However, their initial flight scheduled for Friday was canceled, but it seems they are undeterred in their pursuit.

The bigger picture reveals that Harry Kane’s contract with Tottenham is set to expire in the summer of 2024. While the North London club has put forth an improved contract offer, there are no indications that Kane is willing to extend his stay. Despite this uncertainty, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly adamant on securing close to £100 million ($128.7m) for the prized asset’s transfer.

In response to previous interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United earlier in the summer, Bayern Munich is preparing a new proposal of £85 million ($109m) for Kane. The England captain’s future remains a subject of intense speculation, with the newly-appointed Tottenham boss, Ange Postecoglou, expressing his desire to retain the striker for the upcoming season. As the transfer saga continues, all eyes are on Kane’s potential move and whether Tottenham and Bayern can reach a deal that satisfies both parties.
