Arsenal Nearing Contract Extensions for Key Players Odegaard and White

Arsenal is on the verge of finalizing new contract extensions for two key players, Martin Odegaard and Ben White, according to sources familiar with the matter.

In recent years, the club has been proactive in securing the futures of their top talents, with notable figures like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli committing to fresh deals at the Emirates Stadium. This commitment to retaining key personnel was further exemplified when center-back William Saliba signed a new four-year contract over the summer.

It has now come to light that Arsenal is close to securing long-term extensions for both club captain Martin Odegaard and the versatile defender Ben White. Odegaard’s current contract runs until 2025, with the option for an additional year, while White’s contract is set to expire in 2026.

When questioned about contract negotiations while on international duty with the Norway national team, Odegaard remained tight-lipped but expressed his contentment at Arsenal, saying, “I don’t have much to say, apart from the fact that I am very happy at Arsenal and I hope I can be there for a long time. Beyond that, I have no comment right now. Now, it is the national team that is in focus.”

In addition to Odegaard and White, sources have indicated that Arsenal’s next priority is to reach an agreement with Oleksandr Zinchenko for a new contract. The Ukrainian international, who joined the club from Manchester City last summer, quickly became a fan favorite, impressing in an unconventional left-back role. Zinchenko is currently under contract with the Gunners until 2026.
