Arsenal’s defender, Rob Holding, is set to undergo a medical examination today as the final step in his journey towards a permanent transfer to Crystal Palace. The 27-year-old is poised to complete his move to the south London club for an estimated fee of approximately £4 million ($5 million), securing a three-year contract, according to The Athletic.
During a press conference earlier today, Palace’s head coach, Roy Hodgson, openly acknowledged the center-back’s eagerness to join the club. Holding originally joined Arsenal in the summer of 2016, hailing from Bolton Wanderers. Since then, he has accumulated an impressive 162 appearances for the north London outfit, contributing to their successes with two FA Cup victories and three Community Shield titles.
Crucially, both clubs have reached a formal agreement for Holding’s transfer, pending the successful completion of his medical assessment. Personal terms have already been settled between Crystal Palace and the player’s representatives.
