Bournemouth Football Club has made a significant signing by acquiring winger Justin Kluivert from Italian club Roma. The 24-year-old Dutch player has agreed to a “long-term contract” with the club and becomes Bournemouth’s first signing since the appointment of head coach Andoni Iraola following Gary O’Neil’s departure.

Bournemouth’s chief executive, Neill Blake, expressed delight at securing Kluivert’s services, stating, “We are thrilled to announce Justin as our first signing ahead of the upcoming season. His talent attracted interest from several top European clubs, and his decision to join us reflects his ambition, which aligns with ours. Justin is an exciting and versatile attacking player with a keen eye for goal. He possesses pace, directness, and an impressive level of technical ability.”

Justin Kluivert’s career trajectory has garnered attention due to his achievements at a young age. While only 24, he has already played at the highest level in five different countries, including domestic competitions and continental tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League and Europa League. Additionally, he has earned international caps for the Netherlands, showcasing his ability at the senior level.

The son of former Dutch striker Patrick Kluivert, Justin began his career at Ajax before moving to Serie A with Roma in 2018. During his time with the Italian club, he made 68 appearances and scored nine goals. He spent the previous season on loan at Valencia in LaLiga, where he impressed with eight goals and two assists in 29 appearances.

Bournemouth sees Justin Kluivert as a valuable addition to their squad and believes he will greatly contribute to their playing style. The club is eager to work with him and is confident that he will resonate with their supporters, who are excited to witness his talents on the pitch.
