Eric Dier Contemplates Serie A Reunion: Mourinho’s Roma Calling?

Roma, under the management of Jose Mourinho, is reportedly considering a reunion with Tottenham defender Eric Dier. Dier, 29, has caught the eye of both Roma and Mourinho after falling out of favor at Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou, as per reports from Sports Witness. While Financial Fair Play (FFP) constraints are reportedly influencing Roma’s moves, it remains uncertain if the English international would be open to a move to Serie A.

In a broader context, Tottenham, under their new manager, has enjoyed success and currently leads the Premier League table after eight games. Dier, however, has only been a substitute three times and has not yet played for Spurs this season. The question of Dier’s future remains unanswered: whether he will continue at Tottenham or consider a move to Italy to reunite with his former manager Mourinho. So far, Tottenham has favored Cristian Romero and summer signing Micky van de Ven as their central defensive choices.
