Fiorentina Resists Manchester United’s Bid for Sofyan Amrabat Amid Transfer Speculations

Fiorentina Holds Firm Against Offers for Sofyan Amrabat, Including Manchester United’s Approach. Despite Manchester United emerging as frontrunners for Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat’s signature this summer, Fiorentina has stood its ground, declining various offers for the player. A recent bid from the Red Devils to secure Amrabat on loan was reportedly rejected by the Serie A club, as disclosed by Gianluca Dimarzio. The rejection extended to multiple loan proposals, including one from Galatasaray.

Reports from The Athletic indicate that Manchester United tabled an offer of £2 million to Fiorentina for a loan arrangement, with the sum split into two payments. The proposal featured a mid-season opt-out clause in January, preceding the disbursement of the second instalment worth £1 million.

LOOKING AT THE WIDER PICTURE: The midfielder’s name has been consistently linked with Manchester United throughout the summer, as he remains high on the list of midfield targets for coach Erik ten Hag. Fiorentina went to the extent of excluding Amrabat from their matchday squads in the last two fixtures against Rapid Wien and Lecce.
