Inter Milan leaves the door open for Onana return

Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta has left the door open for a potential return of Andre Onana from Manchester United. After just one season with Inter, during which the Cameroonian goalkeeper was signed for free from Ajax and later sold for a base price of €51 million (£43.8m/$57.3m), Marotta hinted at the possibility of Onana making a comeback.

In his statement to the press, Marotta stated, “The future is unpredictable, especially in football where anything can happen. Onana’s time with us was significant, and the deal, from signing him for free to selling him for such a substantial sum, was a success.”

Looking at the broader context, Onana has faced challenges since his move to Manchester United, conceding 19 goals in 11 matches so far. His struggles have mirrored his team’s performance, with the club currently positioned 10th in the Premier League.
