Juventus Makes Bid for Romelu Lukaku, Adding a New Twist to the Story

The Romelu Lukaku transfer saga takes yet another turn as Juventus enters the picture with a bid for the Chelsea striker. It appeared that a return to Inter Milan was imminent for Lukaku, as he had been rejecting other offers and expressing his desire to join the Champions League finalists. However, Juventus has now matched Inter’s bid, offering €37.5 million (£32m/$41m) with additional bonuses that could potentially take the figure up to €40m (£34m/$45m). According to Sky Sport Italia, Lukaku has gone silent and is refusing to communicate with Inter directors.

Juventus has reportedly informed Chelsea that they need to offload Dusan Vlahovic before finalizing the signing of Lukaku. The Italian club hopes to complete the Vlahovic deal by August 4, which means the Lukaku saga could extend for several more weeks. Despite speculation surrounding Vlahovic, there has been limited news regarding any concrete bids for the player. Chelsea aims to conclude the Lukaku deal swiftly and would prefer to continue negotiations with Inter.

The situation surrounding Romelu Lukaku’s future becomes more complex as Juventus throws their hat in the ring with a bid, causing uncertainty and potentially prolonging the transfer saga.
