Kalvin Phillips Uncertain Future at Manchester City Sparks Bayern Munich Interest

Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips might be eyeing a January exit due to his inability to secure a spot in the starting lineup under Pep Guardiola. According to The Mirror, Bundesliga champions Munich are one of the clubs contemplating the signing of the English midfielder. Since his £45 million transfer from Leeds in July 2022, Phillips has only started two Premier League games and has played a mere 70 minutes in the current season. Bayern Munich had previously considered Phillips but opted for Joao Palhinha of Fulham instead.

There are rumors that Manchester City, the reigning Premier League champions, are considering a loan move, but given Phillips’ struggle to establish himself in Manchester, a permanent transfer might be a more viable option.
