Man United and Liverpool Target Gravenberch Questions Bayern Munich Future

Ryan Gravenberch, a prime target for both Manchester United and Liverpool, has dropped a subtle hint regarding his potential transfer plans. Once again, the young talent found himself excluded from Bayern Munich’s starting lineup, this time against Augsburg, under Thomas Tuchel’s management. In the match held on Sunday, Gravenberch was introduced only in the 81st minute, stepping onto the field in place of Kingsley Coman.

Gravenberch’s name has been consistently linked to transfer discussions involving Liverpool and Manchester United throughout the current summer transfer window. Following the recent match, he conveyed his uncertainty about his future with the Bundesliga club. Speaking to BILD in the aftermath of the Augsburg encounter, the 21-year-old Dutch midfielder stated, “I don’t know what will happen in the next days.”

Last season, Gravenberch had been limited to merely six starting appearances for Bayern Munich. His participation in the 2023-24 campaign commenced with the Augsburg clash. His shortage of playing time in Germany has reportedly prompted his contemplation of a departure from the club, a development that has captured the attention of both Liverpool and Manchester United.
