Manchester United Eyes Federico Chiesa: The Race to Replace Jadon Sancho

In January, Manchester United is rumored to be making a move for Juventus star #, aiming to replace Jadon Sancho. According to reports from Calciomercato, the Red Devils have been crafting a plan to part ways with the former Borussia Dortmund player. Chiesa is at the top of their list and is valued at approximately £52 million ($64 million) by Juventus.

Chiesa, who currently earns £80,000 per week, has a contract set to expire in 2025. He gained widespread recognition for his outstanding performance during Euro 2020 but faced a setback due to a serious ACL injury, keeping him sidelined for a significant part of the following year.

In the ongoing season, Chiesa has returned to his peak form, contributing four goals and an assist in his first six games. This impressive performance has caught the attention of Manchester United. However, Juventus is determined to retain him, and meetings are scheduled in the upcoming weeks with his agent, Fali Ramadani, to discuss a potential contract extension.

As for Jadon Sancho, Manchester United fully supports manager Erik ten Hag’s decision to exclude him from the squad. Sancho had accused the Dutch tactician of making him a “scapegoat” in a now-deleted Instagram post. Despite deleting his Instagram account, Sancho has reportedly refused to apologize, resulting in his continued absence from the club.
