Manchester United, Juventus, and Manchester City in Pursuit for Benjamin Pavard

Manchester United and Juventus have entered the race to sign Benjamin Pavard, posing tougher competition for Manchester City. Although City remains the favorites to secure the French defender, Sky Germany reports that both United and Juventus have expressed their interest, creating a more challenging situation for the European champions as they seek to strengthen their squad following last season’s treble-winning campaign.

The potential transfer would benefit all three clubs involved. With Kyle Walker likely departing for Bayern Munich, Manchester City would have a vacancy to fill in the right-back position, making Pavard a suitable candidate. Erik ten Hag, the manager of Juventus, has shown dissatisfaction with his defensive options, and Pavard’s versatility to play across the back four would address his concerns.

Juventus also has a need for a younger right-back, as both Mattia De Sciglio and Danilo are now on the wrong side of 30. The race to secure Pavard’s signature promises to be an intriguing competition among the clubs.
