Mohamed Salah Faces Record-Breaking Transfer Bid £215m from Al-Ittihad Amid Liverpool’s Determined Stance

Reports indicate that Liverpool’s star player, Mohamed Salah, is currently the target of a world-record transfer bid worth £215 million ($271 million) from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad. Earlier, Liverpool had already rejected an initial offer for Salah’s services, which was valued at £150 million ($189 million) and had been submitted before the closure of the summer transfer window in England. As teams in the Middle East retain the ability to strengthen their squads, Liverpool’s determination to keep Salah is continuously being tested.

According to The Sun, Al-Ittihad has presented an offer that includes an initial sum of £170 million ($214 million), with the potential for it to rise to £215 million when factoring in various additional components. Additionally, Salah has been presented with a contract offering weekly earnings of £2.45 million ($3 million). This contract entails various extra incentives, such as a share of shirt sales, a £55,000 win bonus, and ambassadorial roles with three prominent Saudi companies for the duration of his stay.

Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s manager, has consistently stated that Salah is not available for transfer, and this stance is unlikely to change, particularly as Liverpool would face significant challenges in securing a replacement for their influential forward. If Al-Ittihad fails to acquire the Premier League icon in this transfer window, they intend to revisit their interest when the next transfer window opens.
