Newcastle Eyes Move for Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe in January Transfer Window

Newcastle United is reportedly considering an ambitious move for Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe in the upcoming January transfer window. The Magpies’ board is set to convene in the coming weeks to strategize their approach. Despite their active summer signings including Sandro Tonali, Harvey Barnes, and Tino Livramento, they are keen on securing Smith Rowe on a loan deal with a potential future purchase option.

However, Arsenal seems uninterested in a loan transfer, aiming to offload Smith Rowe permanently due to his limited playing time at the Emirates. The Gunners have set a £50 million ($62 million) price tag, posing a potential challenge for Newcastle, which must adhere to Financial Fair Play regulations. Newcastle is also exploring options to sell players like Emil Krafth and Javier Manquillo, hoping to generate sufficient funds for Smith Rowe’s acquisition, contingent on Arsenal’s negotiating stance. The outcome remains uncertain as negotiations unfold.
