Arsenal’s Nuno Tavares, a defender, is nearing a loan transfer to fellow Premier League team Nottingham Forest. Having once again fallen out of favor under Mikel Arteta this summer, the 23-year-old defender seems poised to move north and link up with Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest squad for the upcoming 2023/24 season. LOOKING AT THE BIGGER PICTURE: Since his arrival in north London, Tavares has faced challenges, but he experienced a highly successful loan period with Marseille in the previous season. During that time, he participated in 31 matches and even found the net 6 times. However, his opportunities within the Premier League have been limited, making just 13 starts for the Gunners throughout his tenure at the club.
