Reyna’s Potential Premier League Move Sparks Speculation

Gio Reyna is reportedly leaning towards a move to a Premier League club rather than considering a partnership with Christian Pulisic at AC Milan if he decides to depart from Borussia Dortmund. AC Milan had expressed interest in bolstering their attacking options during the January transfer window and there were rumors of them aiming to sign USMNT forward Reyna to team up with fellow countryman Christian Pulisic. However, according to renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 20-year-old may be more inclined to join a top-tier English side instead of the Lombardy-based outfit.

In an interview with Men in Blazers, Romano stated, ‘Currently, I don’t have any confirmation. I inquired about it, but I’m not certain if Milan is pursuing that kind of creative player in that position during the January transfer window. I also have doubts about whether this is what Gio Reyna requires.’

When pressed further about what would be suitable for Reyna, he elaborated, ‘Perhaps something in England. I believe that would be an ideal fit for him. A club like Brentford or Brighton, for instance, where managers emphasize offensive and quality football, would be absolutely perfect for him.’ Reyna had been sidelined with an injury since June, preventing him from making any appearances for Dortmund this season. However, he was named on the bench for the Champions League fixture against Paris Saint-Germain and the subsequent Bundesliga match against VFL Wolfsburg, though he remained unused as a substitute.
