Former United Striker Saha Urges United to Pursue Kaoru Mitoma for Attacking Revival

Manchester United is being urged to consider signing Kaoru Mitoma, the Brighton winger, to enhance their attacking options. Despite significant investments in creative talents like Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Mason Mount, United still lacks a decisive spark, according to former player Louis Saha. Saha believes the team’s current dribblers tend to overthink their moves, hindering their directness on the field. He specifically highlighted Mitoma’s qualities, praising his natural instincts, energy, and fearless attacking style. Saha emphasized that Mitoma’s straightforward approach and confidence on the ball make him a valuable asset for any club, especially one like Manchester United that could benefit from more direct play.

Saha also expressed his thoughts on Mason Mount, the central playmaker signed from Chelsea, suggesting that Mount has room for improvement despite his high transfer fee. He questioned Mount’s offensive contributions, pointing out that defensive players like Casemiro have been more offensive-minded. In contrast to United’s current attackers, Mitoma has already made a significant impact this season, contributing with three goals and four assists, building on his impressive performance for Brighton last season when he scored 10 goals.
