Liverpool Eyeing January Move for Kalvin Phillips

Liverpool is reportedly considering a January move for Kalvin Phillips, the Manchester City midfielder who has struggled to secure regular first-team appearances, featuring in only five matches this season. The 27-year-old player is reportedly contemplating a transfer away from Manchester City to find more playing time.

According to the Mirror, Liverpool, despite being unexpected contenders, are interested in acquiring the English international and might make a move for him in January. It’s worth noting that Liverpool had expressed interest in Phillips during the summer transfer window, although no official bid was made. Instead, Liverpool bolstered their midfield with acquisitions such as Alex Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo, and Ryan Gravenberch.

In addition to Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Newcastle United are also monitoring Phillips’ situation, potentially preparing offers in the upcoming transfer window.
