Man Utd’s Varane Rejects Al-Ittihad Reunion Bid, Favours European Stay

Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League is reportedly showing interest in Manchester United defender Raphael Varane, with the prospect of reuniting him with his former Real Madrid colleague Karim Benzema. The situation has been brought to light by Sports Zone, indicating that talks have been initiated between Al-Ittihad and Varane’s representatives, exploring the possibility of a move that would once again see him sharing the pitch with Benzema, as well as fellow countryman N’Golo Kante.

Taking a broader perspective, the presence of Benzema and Kante in Al-Ittihad has led to their involvement in enticing Varane to consider the transfer. The duo has reportedly reached out to the French defender, advocating for him to join them in the Middle East. However, it appears that Varane has opted to decline their proposal, expressing his desire to remain in Europe for at least another season.

The potential reunion of the trio on the field would undoubtedly capture attention, given their shared history at Real Madrid and within the French national team. Nonetheless, as things stand, Varane’s preference seems to be rooted in continuing his football journey in Europe, leaving any move to Al-Ittihad on the backburner for now.
