Liverpool Rejects £150 Million Bid for Mohamed Salah Amid Saudi Interest

Despite ongoing interest from Saudi Arabia, Liverpool is resolute in retaining Mohamed Salah, their star player. The club has recently declined a verbal offer for Salah, as reported by The Athletic. This offer was presented during a phone conversation with director Mike Gordon and was promptly turned down. Liverpool emphasized that Salah is not available for transfer and is committed to keeping him at Anfield.

The offer in question amounted to £100 million ($126 million) with an additional £50 million ($63 million) in potential add-ons, according to The Telegraph. The Saudi Pro League has identified Salah as a prominent target, and it is anticipated that they will persist in their pursuit, especially as their transfer window remains open until September 7th. Salah, however, remains under contract with Liverpool until 2025, having signed a new three-year deal last summer.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has consistently dismissed suggestions of Salah’s departure during the current transfer window. He reiterated on deadline day that Salah is unequivocally not available for transfer, despite the persistent speculation.
