Liverpool in Advanced Talks with Kostas Tsimikas for Contract Extension Until 2027

According to The Athletic, Liverpool is close to finalizing a contract extension with Kostas Tsimikas that would secure his presence at Anfield until the summer of 2027. The Greek international has agreed to a two-year extension, highlighting his lasting impact since joining the club for £11.75 million from Olympiacos three years ago. Originally signed to provide competition for Andy Robertson, Tsimikas has proven himself with 61 appearances in various competitions for Liverpool, including a memorable moment when he scored the decisive penalty in the 2022 FA Cup final shootout against Chelsea at Wembley.

Although Tsimikas has made just one substitute appearance this season, he remains a highly regarded member of Jurgen Klopp’s squad. The manager is keen to retain his services, and negotiations for the new contract are progressing rapidly.
