Juventus Eyes Thomas Partey as Paul Pogba Faces Suspension: Transfer Rumors

Juventus is reportedly preparing for a potential transfer move to acquire Thomas Partey from Arsenal. This move is contingent on the possibility that Paul Pogba faces a ban due to a failed drugs test. Pogba, the World Cup-winning French midfielder, has been provisionally suspended after testing positive for testosterone. He has had limited playing time this season due to ongoing injury troubles and is now at risk of a four-year ban if it is determined that he intentionally used the prohibited substance. Initially, he faces a two-year suspension, which could still result in the termination of his contract with Juventus.

According to La Repubblica, Juventus is already in the process of identifying potential replacements for Pogba, and Thomas Partey of Arsenal has been on their radar for some time. While Arsenal may be hesitant to sell Partey, especially with Declan Rice available to fill a holding midfield role, they might reconsider if the right offer is made. Partey, who is a Ghanaian international, is currently recovering from a hamstring injury and has participated in three Premier League matches for Arsenal in the 2023-24 season.
