Harry Kane’s Transfer Saga: From Manchester United Wait to Bayern Munich Move

Reports indicate that Harry Kane was open to delaying his transfer until the following summer in order to join Manchester United on a free transfer before eventually sealing his move to Bayern Munich. The Daily Mail reported that Kane was prepared to hold off his departure from Tottenham, provided that a confirmed deal with Manchester United was in place. However, Kane ultimately had doubts about whether Manchester United would keep the door open for him, allowing Bayern Munich, the reigning Bundesliga champions, to gain the upper hand in the race for his signature.

In the broader context, the 31-year-old English international has now completed a £100 million ($124 million) transfer to Bayern Munich. Bayern will face Erik ten Hag’s team in their inaugural Champions League match of the season on Wednesday evening. As an alternative to Kane this summer, Manchester United is likely to rely on their new forward, Rasmus Hojlund, whom they signed in a deal valued at around £72 million ($89 million).
